Talking with Older Adults

July 21, 2017. Assisted Living Locators appeared on the KENS 5, Great Day SA morning show. It's a great idea to have a series of conversations with our parents to understand how they want to live the rest of their lives and help them develop a plan to meet their goals. It's important to approach this as a partnership and with lots of patience. These should be small conversations that address one topic at a time, at least until your parents are comfortable with talking about these things. Having these conversations early enough will allow you to plan. If you find that your loved ones are unable to manage their affairs or are unsafe in their home, Assisted Living Locators can help you sort through the hundreds of senior living options available.
